Kim Holland is an award-winning producer of the 2019 documentary film “Against the Wall.”   As a lead producer for “Against the Wall,” Kim spearheaded the effort to get production underway, raising funds through her relationships in China, engaging in all facets of planning and execution, and traveling across the United States to interview more than 25 people for the film.  “Against the Wall” is Oscar qualified, has been in 15 international film festivals both in the U.S. and abroad and won 11 awards, including several “Best Short Documentary” awards and a “Best of Festival” award in Wales and is currently being developed as a feature narrative film.

In addition to her documentary film work, Kim has been very active in the development and financing of commercial feature films.  As President of Entertainment Finance LLC, Kim partners with investors from North America, Europe, and China to engage in last-stage film financing for mainstream international features with A-list talent and international distribution. 

Fluent in Mandarin, Kim has been deemed an honorary “U.S.-China Cultural Ambassador” by the Chinese press, both at the national and local levels, and frequently acts as a bilingual emcee, moderator, host, judge, and public speaker at both business and film industry events. As a master of ceremonies, she has introduced two former presidents, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, at major business conferences, as well as conducting a one-on-one interview with former president Clinton for thirty minutes on stage.  She has also emceed televised performances with Jackie Chan and CCTV Host Zhao Baole, the first ever “Oscar China Night Party,” the film premiere and post-screening Q&A session for “Farewell My Concubine, The Beijing Opera,” at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, the U.S.-China TV & Film Innovation Summit at the Academy’s Linwood Dunn Theatre, the Hollywood Entertainment Technology Festival at the Los Angeles Film School, and the China-U.S. Business Summit’s annual Entertainment Forum.  She has been a guest speaker on film panels held during American Film Market (AFM), Sundance, Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), and Cannes, as well as in Monte Carlo, and at the International Family Film Festival and the Southeast European Film Festival (SEEFEST), both held in Hollywood.  Additionally, she has served as a judge for SEEFEST and at pitch sessions held during AFM and Sundance.

Kim has also acted as an ambassador to two Chinese cities, the beautiful, unique, and mountainous Zhangjiajie, which has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and serves as a topographical backdrop in James Cameron’s film “Avatar,” and Jiangsu Province’s Maoshan, the birthplace of Chinese Taoism. 

Kim graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southern California, San Diego (UCSD) with a bachelor of arts degree in Chinese Studies.  She has also studied business in the MBA program at UCLA’s Anderson Graduate School of Management.

Jeff Locker is an award-winning writer, actor, and host based in Los Angeles. A Yale East Asian Studies major fluent in Mandarin, he became a well-known entertainer in Taiwan and China, best known for his portrayal of George W. Bush in Golden Bell-winning political satire show MIMICS 全民大闷锅, Brindsley in BLACK COMEDY 黑色喜剧白色幽默 (National Theatre Taiwan), Paul in THE MUSICAL STORY OF TERESA TENG 邓丽君音乐 故事 (Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall), and countless Mandarin TV series and soap operas. He was also the author of eight best-selling Mandarin books with largely embarrassing covers. Screenwriter credits include an upcoming Funny Or Die series and short films A GOOD MAN, TO BE SAVED, and SCARS; polish credits include an upcoming major studio film.
